This portfolio contains images of photographic triptychs from the Totem project. They are stacked, selenium-toned gelatin silver triptychs inspired by the Totem Poles of the First Nations peoples of the Northwest Coast of North America. Totem Poles are also used in some other areas in the Pacific region. These tell or hint at stories through symbols and metaphors. Most have a narrative. The titles are kept simple to let the viewer discern what is relevant to that viewer’s experience.
